How payments, refunds, disputes, and PCI scope are allocated between Smart Dining, Restaurant Partners, and processors such as Stripe.

We integrate with payment service providers to tokenize cards, settle charges, and manage payouts according to your configuration. Your use of a processor is also governed by that processor’s terms and card network rules.
Smart Dining maintains controls appropriate to its role as a software provider. Restaurant Partners must not copy full card numbers into free-text fields, screenshots, or unsecured storage. Misuse may void protections and breach processor agreements.
Refunds are initiated by authorized venue users or automatically when policy rules trigger. Chargebacks are responded to with evidence you provide. Excessive chargebacks may lead to processor risk holds or account review.
You are responsible for guest billing disputes relating to your goods and services. We may facilitate communication or data exports but are not a party to those underlying transactions beyond our fees for software.
